Annual Engagement Review
We are pleased to announce the release of our fourth Quarterly Engagement Review. These regular updates complement our Annual Engagement Review and will be available on our website so clients have access to information on our ongoing implementation of the ethical engagement policy and how our engagement activities are seeking to add value to our investments. These reports on Responsible Investing are intended to illustrate to our clients how we are integrating ESG considerations into our investment process and upholding their values on a daily basis.
Highlights
In this report we discuss a recent review of new holding Whitbread and our dialogue with chemical company Bayer on how it could reduce risks to global bee populations from neonicotinoids. We also report on engagement wth Unilever on governance and remuneration practice plus there is more on pay and performance communicated in the AGM voting review where the report lays out our recent voting record and discusses where and why we have failed to support company management resolutions on remuneration in a number of cases. Following the ongiong oils spill crises involving BP the report contains a focus on BP and our view on the company as investment prospect. Finally the Thematics section discusses how recent share purchases are in fitting with our investment themes.
