Welcome to a brief introduction to The Co-operative Asset Management
and the benefits of sustainable investment.
We seek to identify companies that are likely to benefit from key positive social and sustainable themes, to boost investment prospects and create long-term value. We believe this unique, sustainable approach offers investors the best of both worlds: performance matched with principles.
Our sustainable investment philosophy is characterised by:
Thorough analysis
We dig deeper. Our research process integrates financial and environmental, social and governance (ESG) themes that add an additional layer of analysis. We uncover companies with products or services that are of net benefit to society, enabling our portfolios to deliver superior performance.
A long-term view
Our Fund Managers focus on generating long-term, sustainable returns, which in our view, offer more potential for outperformance.
This means that we tend to hold companies in our portfolios for three to four years.
Focused portfolios
Our portfolios are relatively concentrated – with between 40 to 60 holdings in equity portfolios – and therefore every holding has to pull its weight.
ESG analysis is intrinsic to the research process, and helps us to recognise developing themes and trends at an early stage.
